Finally! We’re back baby! After such an incredibly difficult few months of postponed retreats and not being able to do what we love most, we couldnt wait to get back to our fun-packed weekends with you guys. And what better way to celebrate the easing of lockdown than a whole weekend away with unlimited yarn, awesome people, epic food and exclusive workshops??! Our gorgeous retreat home is a huge house with stylish scandinavian styled interior, complete with a hot tub and incredible setting. It is nestled among the idyllic 3000 acre estate of Broughton Hall in Skipton, which you may know as being home to the famous Yarndale! The November retreat is our Christmas Edition and we are grinning ear to ear with anticipation. The quirky festive workshops, delicious seasonal food, oh and that log burning stove! We can hardly wait. As well as our beautiful retreat hideaway, which just oozes hygge, you also have access to the estate's incredible new state of the art wellness centre, Avalon. You will be able to take full advantage of their carefully designed sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and beautiful indoor pool. Prepare to be wowed. With brand new sponsors, even more insanely gorgeous yarns, even more epic goody bags and extremely exciting VIP guest-workshop tutors, all we need now is you! Come and enjoy an entire weekend away from it all. Just kick back, relax and dive into a load of yarn (heaven, right?). Ask any previous guest and they'll tell you that the retreat really is constant laughter, wonderful people, divine yarn that you can crochet with until your heart's content, delicious home cooked food, glorious countryside surroundings, breathtaking accommodation, loads of booze (and fancy mocktails!), mega fun workshops and so so so much more. It's rare that we have guests that don't rebook as soon as the weekend is over! The retreat begins at 5pm on the Friday, but don't panic if you can't get to us for that time. We are very flexible and we will have a glass of bubbly waiting for you when you arrive! After we help you with your bags and show you to your bedroom, we will all spend some time chatting and laughing over a few bubbles and snacks while we wait for all the guests to arrive. We will then all move through to the main living room where all the crochet magic happens! Once you have had a chance to ooh and ahh and squish all of the yarn and get comfy, we will make a start on our first workshop before breaking for dinner. Once we all have lovely full tummies thanks to our special guest chefs’ delicious cooking, we will head back to the living room to continue with the workshop. Don't worry, the Friday evening workshop is always easy going and just a bit of fun - who wants an intense, technical workshop after travelling, a big evening meal and several wines?! Saturday morning, a gorgeous home cooked breakfast is served from 9am, followed by our morning workshop as the Day Guests arrive at 10am. After lunch we will be joined by our VIP Guest Workshop Tutor and enjoy something a little different and mega fun for the afternoon. The Day Guests' day comes to an end at 6pm and then dinner will be served at around 7:30pm. Saturday Evening is the perfect opportunity for diving into all the yarn in the living room for a play, getting on with existing projects that you may have brought with you, picking my brains for any tips, tricks or tutorials on techniques you'd like to learn or perfect and also for having a cheeky drink or two (it is Saturday night after all...). Sunday morning breakfast will be served a little later, at 10:30am, because it's our epic farewell brunch. I'm salivating already! Check out is at 3pm, and just a warning, you might want to bring a tissue or two, even if it's just for us when we realise it's almost time for all our new pals to go :( Please feel free to ask in advance if you'd like us to arrange a taxi for you. If you would like to know any further info on the best ways to get to us, especially if you are travelling from overseas, then please just get in touch - we are very accessible from all major airports and have had many previous guests travel from abroad. Absolutely everything you need is included and ready for you at the retreat. We have towels, bedding, all food and drink, all the materials for the workshops, yarn and crochet hooks (though I know a crochet obsessive never leaves home without their favourite hooks... me included!). The only things we would recommend bringing is a hairdryer and toiletries - oh, and don't forget some swimwear for the hot tub! If you have any further requirements, no matter what it may be, don't be shy, just get in touch and we will try our very best to make it happen for you. All dietary requirements can be easily catered for, again, just let us know in good time so we can make sure everything is perfect ready for your arrival. If you have any disabled access requirements then please just pop us a message so we can chat about what we can do for you. We want to get it just right!
